UPower Africa is an organisation that works for Africa.
Africa has a significant dispersed rural population for which it is difficult to provide satisfactory education services as compared to urban schools. Our objective is to visit African countries and extend UPower Africa across all borders of Africa. To visit schools in 2 African countries and have branches of UPower Africa operating there.
Often referred to as the “The Giant of Africa”, Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa with one of the largest populations of youth in the world. Their education system is divided into Kindergarten, primary education, secondary education and tertiary education. Nigeria provides free, government-supported education, but attendance is not compulsory.
Zimbabwe is located in southern Africa, between the Zambezi and Limpopo Rivers. It borders South Africa to the south, Botswana to the west, Zambia to the northwest, and Mozambique to the east. Due to large investments in education since independence Zimbabwe has the highest adult literacy rate in Africa which in 2013 was 90.70% Zimbabwe’s education system consists of primary, secondary and tertiary education.
